Grootbos Garden Lodge

Grootbos Nature Reserve suffered severe damage during the "Overberg Fires" in February 2006. Forest Lodge was burnt to the ground and Garden Lodge's Grass Roof caught flame. Fortunately the helicopters managed to extinguish the flames before too much damage was done.

Intending to re-open Garden Lodge within 3 weeks, Tertius Lutzeyer literally gave me 5 days to replace the old Pine floors (250m2) with "African Mahogany"  - we managed to apply the 4th coat on the morning of the 6th day. This was his response:

The floor is looking great at Garden Lodge. Thanks for all your help and for the quick response time. Please could you e-mail me a quote for the sanding and sealing of the outside deck at Garden lodge.

Tertius had the old floors removed for us.

  

African Mahogany sealed with a Matt Waterbased Varnish.
  Day 1 Day 3
