At long last! I've been after these guys for almost 10 years to do something
about their floors. They always had the same excuse, "We can't close shop". So
we convinced them we could do the entire project in one weekend.
At 13h00 we moved them out and started ripping up old floors. Lets not forget
the concrete!
Monday morning 07h00 found me putting furniture back.
 Before -
Old Oregan that had been poorly sanded beyond recovery and had several
repaired areas that showed up like sore thumbs, especially in the
passages. |
After - New Siberian Larch - Stained Natural Oak and
sealed with 3 coats of Polyurethane Floor Varnish. |
 Johannes having a bit
of fun with the unfamiliar Jack Hammer, while the rest of us, rip up the
floors |
 Progressing well. Time to get
that ugly counter out of the way! |
 The natural
"Siberian Larch" without stain or varnish. |
 The floor has
been stained "Natural Oak" and is getting it's first coat of Polyurethane
Floor Varnish. |

Stunning Paintings. The Counter could do with a lot of help though. |
 Mmm They're
going to have to do something about that carpet. |
